I went to the store to purchase a mattress they advertised on-line. Unfortunately, although advertised as being on display in the Old Bridge store, the mattress was not available at ANY of their locations, so I could not physically test it. The salesperson told me that it wouldn't be a problem at all because they guarantee that I could easily exchange the mattress within 120 days if I was unsatisifed in ANY way. She told me it would be less expensive to buy it online, so I did. A week after I received it, I wanted to exchange the mattress for the same make/model but at a different comfort level. I went through their on-line exchange procedures as required and after a week of being ignored I finally got a live person on the phone who said I had to pay all kinds of fees amounting to about $500.00 if I wanted to exchange it. Outrageous! I was so upset, especially since this is a very big purchase for someone like me. I feel stupid for trusting the salesperson's promise and for not spending an hour reading all the hidden and not easily available, fine print. I will never do business with them again and I will tell everyone I know not to buy from them either. I don't normally do online reviews, but I was so upset at their false advertising, duplicity and unwillingness to work with me or even help me in any way at all that I am compelled to let as many people know as possible. Their customer service was the worst I have ever experienced in my entire life. Mattress Firm is an abysmal, terrible, untrustworthy company with absolutely no concern for their customer. Buyer Beware.
